Which departure port fits your stay: five boarding points compared

Match the departure to where you sleep. Belek, Kundu, Lara and Antalya city board at Kundu Marina for the Lara and Düden waterfalls coast. Side, Kumköy and Manavgat board near Kumköy, on the Manavgat River or in Side harbour for the river, the delta and the Temple of Apollo. Alanya boards in its own harbour area for the castle and the sea caves.

Kundu Marina: the Antalya coast, Lara and the Düden waterfalls

Kundu Marina is the departure for two yachts: one for up to 12 guests, from €750 for the whole boat, and one for up to 28 guests with a deck jacuzzi, from €850. It is the nearest marina to the Belek and Lara hotel coast, which matters because Belek has no marina of its own. Guests from the Kundu hotel strip, Lara and Antalya city also start here.

The coast these yachts show you is Antalya's, not Belek's: a swim stop off Lara Beach, the smaller Düden waterfall with its sea caves and rocks, the larger Düden waterfall area for a swim and the meal, then the Antalya hotel coast on the way back. This is also the only departure with a set sunset session, 15:30–20:30. The Düden waterfalls by yacht covers the route, and yacht rental in Belek explains the Belek side of it.

A marina near Kumköy: quiet coves, transfer included

The Kumköy yacht leaves from a marina near Kumköy, on the Side side of the coast. It takes up to 12 guests, starts from €490 for the whole boat and includes a round-trip hotel transfer from the Kumköy and Side area. The day lasts about 7 hours from pickup to drop-off.

There are no named stops on this route: the captain picks quiet coves along the coast, and you swim for as long as the group likes before lunch on deck. If you want a relaxed swimming day rather than sights, this is the departure to look at first. Yacht rental in Kumköy has the detail.

The Manavgat River: a river start, then the sea

Two boats board on the Manavgat River itself: the wooden gulet for up to about 50 guests, from €750, and the VIP boat for up to 12, from €545. Both go down the river to where it meets the sea for the first swim, then along the Side peninsula with the Temple of Apollo seen from the water. The VIP boat can head for a bay near the temple or toward the turtle island area, as the group decides with the captain.

No other departure in this catalogue starts on a river, so this is the one to choose if the river itself is part of the appeal. Transfers are offered at extra cost. The Manavgat River and Side by boat describes the trip.

Side harbour: the old town from the sea

The luxury motor yacht boards in the harbour in Side, by steps, so it is not suitable for wheelchair users. It takes up to 25 guests, starts from €640 for the whole boat and runs about 6 hours along the coast past the Temple of Apollo and the old town of Side, with swim stops in sheltered bays. On request the programme moves to the evening so you come back at sunset. Yacht hire in Side compares it with the other Side-area charters.

Alanya harbour area: castle headland and sea caves

The Alanya boat takes up to 12 guests, starts from €580 for the whole boat and lasts 6 hours. The route runs under the castle headland, past the Red Tower seen from the sea and slowly beside the sea caves around the peninsula, with swim stops in quiet bays. The transfer is included from central Alanya; guests further out should ask first. Alanya Castle and the sea caves by boat covers it.

Staying in Kemer, or moving resorts

Nothing in this catalogue leaves from Kemer. The nearest departure is Kundu Marina, and the transfer has to be asked about before booking; yacht rental in Kemer is honest about what that means. If you are moving between resorts during your holiday, book the departure on the coast you will be staying on that day, and tell us your hotel for that date. To see all five boarding points with prices and inclusions side by side, use the comparison page.

Questions guests ask

Can we board at one port and get off at another?

Not on record. The Kundu Marina, Kumköy and gulet programmes end where they started. If you need anything different, ask us before booking.

Is the departure point the same place where we meet the boat?

It depends on the boat. Some include a hotel transfer and collect you, the 28-guest yacht meets you at Kundu Marina, and the river and Side boats offer a transfer at extra cost. The pickup time is confirmed after booking.

We change hotels halfway through our holiday. Which departure should we book?

The one on the coast where you are staying on the day of the charter. Tell us that hotel in your request, so the transfer, where there is one, is confirmed for the right address.
